Over time, water coolers can develop a build up of algae and bacteria from use and can leave a bad taste in your water.
Alberta Health recommends you clean your cooler every time you put a new bottle on. We recommend your water coolers should be cleaned at least 3 – 4 times a year, or when your water starts to taste bad. Water cooler cleaning kits are designed for that specific purpose, and are more effective than trying to clean with other products, like vinegar or bleach, which are unable to break through the film bacteria create in your cooler.
Ask one of our drivers or contact us about our water cooler cleaning kits. They are easy to use, take approximately 10 – 15 minutes to clean your water cooler, and the kit can be used multiple times, rather than a one time use. Cost is $15.00 per kit plus GST.
Just like water coolers, water bottles can also develop a build up of algae and bacteria over time. For those using a self serve fill station, you should consider cleaning your water bottles with a bottle cleaning solution. Bottle cleaning solution is specifically designed to effectively eliminate the bacteria from your bottle. Just rinsing isn’t enough.
Bottle Cleaning Solution can be purchased from our office for $10.00 plus GST and can clean up to 16 bottles.
